What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website or use an app. They help the site or app remember information about your visit, such as your preferences or how you interact with it. This policy also covers similar technologies used in our mobile app.
How we use cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies for two purposes: to make the Service work properly, and, where you've given consent, to understand how the Service is used so we can improve it. We don't use cookies for third-party advertising.
Types of cookies we use
Strictly necessary
These are required for the Service to function, for example to keep you signed in. They don't require your consent and can't be switched off.
Analytics
We use PostHog, hosted in the EU, to understand how the Service is used — for example, which pages or screens are viewed. We only use event analytics; we don't record screen replays or capture what you type. On the website, these analytics run in a privacy-friendly, cookieless way by default, so nothing is stored on your device unless you accept analytics cookies via our cookie banner — accepting lets us recognise your device across visits for more accurate insights. In the mobile app, analytics run on the same privacy-friendly basis, and you can turn them off at any time in Settings.
When you accept analytics cookies on the website, PostHog sets one or more first-party cookies (with names like "ph_[id]_posthog") and uses your browser's local storage to recognise your device across visits. These are analytics cookies only; they typically last up to 12 months, and you can clear them at any time from your browser or by rejecting cookies in our banner.
Marketing
We don't currently use marketing or advertising cookies.
Managing cookies
On the website, you can accept or reject analytics cookies at any time using our cookie banner — reopen it from the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer. If you reject, we keep using only privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics that store nothing on your device. In the mobile app, you can turn analytics off at any time in Settings. You can also control cookies through your browser settings, though blocking strictly necessary cookies may affect how the Service works.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookies Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you before they take effect, for example by email or an in-app notice. The "last updated" date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
